Whenever you go on holiday, it’s the usual to expect extra charges for the kids to take part in certain activities. Visits to waterparks, a game of adventure golf or a trip to a theme park, but onboard many cruises all of these features are available free of charge! Take a look below to find out what your kids can do for free onboard your ship.

Royal Caribbean

Access to the ice skating rink, theatre shows and ice spectacular shows are all free of charge. Waterpark facilities, the skating track, cinema, sports courts and carousel features onboard certain ships are also free for kids to visit.

Celebrity Cruises

Entry to the Fun Factory and XClub are free of charge for kids. They also don’t have to pay anything to access sports facilities or the swimming pools.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Kid’s are allowed to go free in the pools, on the sports courts and in the various kid’s clubs until 10.30pm. The only chargeable kids activity onboard is the video arcade where the machines are coin-operated.

Carnival Cruises 

All kid’s clubs onboard are free of charge. Sporting facilities, pools, stage shows, cinemas and poolside entertainment are also free. However you do have to pay extra for the onboard arcade facilities.

Fred Olsen

Available throughout the summer holidays and half terms, kid’s activities are held onboard selected ships. However Fred Olsen ships are designed with adults in mind so there tends to be more for adults to do.

MSC

The onboard kid’s clubs are free to join, access to the pools and certain activities are also available free of charge. Access to the 3D cinema, Formula One simulator and bowling alley do cost extra.

Princess Cruises 

Princess allows free access to the poolside screens, the pools, kid’s clubs and signature shows.

P&O

Pools and water activities are free of charge onboard. All kids clubs and activities involved in the kids clubs are also free to join in with.
