Virtual Reality, Water Slides and More For Mariner of the Seas
Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas will boast a whole host of new features when it begins to sail in North America in June 2018.
Mariner of the Seas has been sailing around Asia since 2018, and will enter dry dock in March 2018, allowing for a major upgrade. Top deck will be one of the areas transformed including the addition of the SkyPad, which is set to debut on Independence of the Seas.
SkyPad is a virtual reality bungee-trampoline experience in which. Guests will strap in and don their virtual reality headset to transport them to another time and planet to bounce over moon craters or compete in intergalactic games. The out-of-this-world experience is for guests of all ages, and also can be enjoyed without virtual reality headsets, for those who prefer to look out over the ocean as they leap toward the sky.”
Another addition will be the Perfect Storm racing waterslides, Cyclone and Typhoon which will see guests race down and see who can splash down at the bottom first! The popular FlowRider surf simulator which can be found on many of Royal’s ships will also be added onboard.
Many more attractions will also be featured, ‘Battle For Planet Z’ which is a laser tag experience will be located in Studio B along with Puzzle Break: Escape the Room, which sees guests given 60 minutes to escape a sealed room by finding clues and working out a series of challenges and riddles.
Mariner of the Seas will also see a first for the line, ‘The Bamboo Room’ is a Polynesian themed bar which will create handcrafted cocktails. Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, which will debut on Symphony of the Seas will be the place to go if you fancied watching live sports on TV and pub food and arcade games.
