Norwegian Cruise Line are delighted to announce that they are breaking the boundaries for innovations at sea.

This week, the keel laying ceremony for our latest ship, Norwegian Encore, took place in Papenburg, Germany and while the ship launch is scheduled for autumn 2019, part of the award-winning entertainment line-up has already was revealed.

The headline show will be the Tony Award®-winning musical “Kinky Boots” about an unlikely partnership between a fabulous drag entertainer and a shoe factory owner, who through compassion and understanding embrace their differences and work together to create something the world has never seen before.  Featuring original songs by Cyndi Lauper, the Broadway hit inspires audiences to feel free to be who they want to be.

And building on our reputation for innovative and exciting on-board activities, the ship will offer guests the largest go-kart racetrack at sea, an open-air laser tag arena inspired by the lost city of Atlantis and an indoor multi-sensory virtual reality complex.

We are confident it’s the ship our customers will want to experience when she sails from Southampton on November 2^nd 2019 for her transatlantic voyage to begin her debut season cruising from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean in winter 2019-2020.

Norwegian Encore Highlights include:

• The largest race track at sea, at 350 meters long, compared to 300 meters for Norwegian Bliss and 270 meters for Norwegian Joy
  • She boasts 10 turns, compared to eight for Norwegian Bliss
  • ^NEW Track suspends 13 feet over the side of the ship
  • ^NEW Covered viewing area in the center of the track for optimal viewing
  • For added interactivity, laser guns are mounted to the viewing area ledge, allowing spectators to blast race cars passing by with a turbo boost for extra speed

• The largest open-air laser tag at sea at 850 square meters (Bliss is 510 square meters)
  • ^NEW Theme based on the resurrected lost city of Atlantis
  • ^NEW New location aft of ship
  • ^NEW Augmented reality gaming component allowing guests to view virtual artifacts

• Entertainment includes
  • Kinky Boots, a Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical with music and lyrics composed by Cyndi Lauper
  • The Choir of Man, currently the top-rated show on our fleet with a guest satisfaction score of 92 (Norwegian Escape)
  • Happy Hour: Prohibition (currently available on Norwegian Bliss)
