What makes you feel more like an VIP than your favourite dishes and drinks being delivered to your door? Our answer – pretty much nothing! Some cruise lines offer cabin service, which is very similar to room service in hotel. Take a look below for all the exciting details.
Royal Caribbean
Cabin service is available 27/7 on-board – all you have to do is order from the room service menu located in your cabin and your food will be there in no time! However a late night service charge of $3.95 does apply.
P&O
Cabin service is offered on all P&O ships and most items are free of charge – there are some exceptions to this and you can find the room service menu in your cabin to take a look what’s on offer.
Celebrity Cruises
Cabin service is available for most of the day and is free of charge. Tea and filter coffee is also provided for free. In certain suites you can also get fresh fruit delivered to your door every morning and canapés during the afternoon – making you feel like a true celebrity!
Norwegian Cruise Line
From 5am up until midnight, cabin service is free of charge – outside of these times there is a small fee. If you don’t fancy heading to the buffet or restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner can all be ordered through cabin service.
Carnival Cruises
24-hour cabin service is provided with all packages on a Carnival cruise. You can also order breakfast, lunch and dinner to your cabin if you wish.
Fred Olsen
Tea and coffee are available free of charge during the day, and you can also expect sandwiches and snacks to be delivered to your cabin if you’re feeling peckish. Cabin service is available from 10am – 10pm.
MSC
MSC charge the cabin service on a daily basis and add the total cost to your cruise account. Under 14’s don’t have any service charges applied. Kids between 14 and 18 are charged between $3 and $7. Adults however are charged slightly more and the charges vary between $6 and $12.
Princess
On a Princess cruise you can order food at any time of the day with their complimentary cabin service. To order a continental breakfast you fill out the breakfast card and hang it on the door handle of your cabin. You can order a variety of dishes from the room service menu found in your cabin – this includes sandwiches, hot dishes, salads and desserts.
