Her large suites, her destination itineraries and her unparalleled service make her truly special. Her four dining options will tantalise your taste buds and as 80% of her suites include a veranda, watching a breaching whale or a few cavorting penguins has never been so personal. A limited number of guests in polar waters, mean that Silver Cloud has the highest space to guest and crew to guest ratios in expedition cruising. With her 18 zodiacs, 10 kayaks, possibilities are almost limitless with ship-wide simultaneous explorations.
The majority of activities you can enjoy on Silver Cloud revolve around exploration and discovery. The ship carries a fleet of 18 Zodiacs deployed daily for shore landings and sight-seeing excursions, all of which are escorted by the Expedition Team.
Daily lectures and presentations are held in Silver Cloud’s Explorer Lounge and generally focus on places and ports you will visit on your voyage. These talks are highly recommended and help to enhance the time you spend ashore.
During days at sea – and for those who’d prefer to stay on board during a port day – the ship offers a large pool deck with ample seating, a swimming pool, and whirlpools. You can watch movies in the ship’s Explorer Lounge or enjoy some quiet time in the Panorama Lounge in the afternoon. Alternatively, for fantastic views of the passing scenery, the Tor Observation Lounge is located at the top of the ship and offers comfortable seating and bar service.
The entertainment programme is low-key, so don’t expect Broadway-style shows or cabaret acts. Instead, guests are encouraged to mingle in the Dolce Vita bar or take in a performance from the ship’s resident singers in the Venetian Lounge. The Connoisseur’s Corner is also a popular spot and offers a range of high-end cognacs and cigars.
The other facilities on Silver Cloud include a fitness centre, boutique, a casino and a card room.
